Can't get God Mode to activate using the latest trainer with the Gog version

Renaming the files as explained helps (trainers detects the game), but I don't get "Cheat activated", and my units keep dying ((

This homeworld game is tough. I was losing in the second mission. The latest patch I guess made the cpu a lot harder to fight against. Please update the trainer to 1.3, please.
